The Product Technical Trainer will design, develop, deliver, and evaluate a range of service training programs across the Rapiscan Systems equipment portfolio. Focusing on the delivery of operational and technical training programs, the role holder will deliver training to the highest standard and work to provide continuous development of learning content to meet the requirements of internal and external stakeholders.

The Product Technical Trainer is responsible for the delivery of classroom, eLearning, instructor-led training courses and virtual classroom training based upon technical documentation and technical maintenance for the Rapiscan product line. The role will support the delivery and development of our technical training portfolio based upon needs from the business for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Key Responsibilities of the Product Technical Trainer:

  • Deliver high quality service training to a variety of internal and external audiences, focussing on; Operator training, Maintenance/technical training and Engineering training
  • Drive curricula and training programmes to help stakeholders and customers become more knowledgeable and efficient with product lines
  • Take ownership and co-ordinate the delivery of training courses which have been assigned
  • Lead training programs which have been assigned, meeting monthly revenue and KPI targets
  • Ensure all courses delivered meet Export and Trade Compliance requirements
  • Ensure training delivery meets current product specifications and business learning objectives; supporting design specialists in updating training content regularly
  • Deliver training to external parties, supporting revenue growth and meet monthly revenue targets
  • Support the delivery of other Learning Academy departments and programs, such as Aviation Security and Threat Recognition
  • Think of innovative ways to deliver operator and technical training, advising management of new initiatives you think may be beneficial to the department
  • Support the training delivery of new product line rollouts and Entry into Service programs
  • Maintain, update, and hold accurate student records

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Degree, or Honours Degree, in Engineering or Electronic related discipline (Essential)
  • 5 years+ experience as a technical, service or engineering trainer (Essential)
  • 3+ years’ experience as a Field Service Engineer or Technician (Preferred)
  • Highly experienced in a wide range of engineering or technical disciplines; electronics, electrical, electromechanical, PC’s, software, coding, mechanical etc (Essential)
  • Relevant training and educational qualification, minimum of a Level 3 (Diploma) AET, CAVA or A1. (Essential)
  • IT literate, proficiency with MS Office required (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) (Essenti
